Voting for the Labour Party’s National Executive Committee closes on 27 August 2026.
We are urging readers of this blog to vote for the candidates who are supporting the ‘Reset the Labour Party’ statement – these are the candidates of the Centre-Left Grassroots Alliance (CLGA) and Mainstream:
CLGA:
Gemma Bolton
Jess Barnard
Yasmin Dar
Mainstream:
Cat Arnold
Kerry Postlewhite
Jovan Owusu-Nepaul
The right-wing ‘Labour to Win’ organisation is fighting hard to keep as many left candidates off the NEC as they can, so effective organisation of the vote is essential. Members of Momentum and of Mainstream will have received emails from those organisations with recommended orders to place the candidates in order to make most effective use of the STV voting system – note that these orders are different in different parts of the country. We recommend putting the CLGA three before the Mainstream three, and avoiding voting for anyone else – you do not have to use all your preferences.
To vote follow the link in the email from “The Labour Party”, labourelections@cesvotes.com with the subject “Your Ballot – Labour Party elections”.
If you are unsubscribed from Labour emails or have not provided an email address, you should have received a paper ballot in the post. If you have had neither, contact the Party asap – the deadline for paper ballots to be reissued is August 24th, and August 26th for the email. The Labour Party asks members to use the contact form at http://labour.org.uk/contact, though there is no specific option within that for internal ballot issues – use the first option within ‘membership queries’ and follow up with a phone call – 0345 092 2299.
Voting closes at midday on August 27th.
Due to a rule change at the last conference, the NPF will be elected at conference – more information in our September bulletin.
