Momentum, Mainstream, and others are backing a slate for the London Labour Party Regional Executive. CLPs need to nominate by 19 June, in advance of the London Regional conference on 18-19 July.

In the last quarter, we can see the sands shifting on the government’s policy towards the EU.
A charter for Labour democracy
A contribution to the discussion arising from – or which should arise from – the “Restore Labour Democracy” initiative. We discussed this at the Labour Left Internationalists committee on 19 April 2026, and decided to publish it as a first draft. We expect further contributions and amendments.
CLPD recommends rule changes for 2026
The Campaign for Labour Party Democracy has asked CLPs to consider submitting proposals for rule changes to reduce the minimum of MP nominations required for Leader nominees, and to return longlisting power for Parliamentary selections from the NEC to CLPs.
Against new plan for “100%” academisation of schools
The Socialist Educational Association, a Labour Party affiliated ‘socialist society’, has launched a campaign to halt an unwelcome government u-turn that returns to the Boris Johnson / Nadeem Zahawi policy on 100% academisation of schools.
