CLP meetings in June 2026 will consider nominations for NEC, Women’s Committee, etc., and decide 2026 conference delegates (unless decided earlier by CLP AGMs, as is practice in some CLPs). Those nominations have to be sent in by 26 June.
Momentum, Mainstream, and others are backing a slate for the London Labour Party Regional Executive. CLPs need to nominate by 19 June, in advance of the London Regional conference on 18-19 July.
Over the last five months more and more positive noises about the relationship with the EU have been emanating from the Labour Government, the PLP and some Labour Mayors.

In the last quarter, we can see the sands shifting on the government’s policy towards the EU.
A contribution to the discussion arising from – or which should arise from – the “Restore Labour Democracy” initiative. We discussed this at the Labour Left Internationalists committee on 19 April 2026, and decided to publish it as a first draft. We expect further contributions and amendments.
The Campaign for Labour Party Democracy has asked CLPs to consider submitting proposals for rule changes to reduce the minimum of MP nominations required for Leader nominees, and to return longlisting power for Parliamentary selections from the NEC to CLPs.
